The Wolf of Wall Street in 2 Minutes [VIDEO]

If you happen to work in Finance, there is no doubt you have watched Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street.

The movie was released in late 2013 and received loads of positive reviews from critics as it depicts the story of Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) and how he made his millions throughout the early 1990s.

Stratton Oakmont, as his company was referred to as, quickly earn millions by marketing penny stocks. The movie also showcases the lifestyle of Belfort, fuelled by extensive use of drugs, alcohol and wild parties.

Eventually, the FBI shut down Stratton Oakmont and Belfort was convinced with Securities Fraud and Money Laundering. He spent 22 months and was sentenced to give the money back to the 1,500 or so people he defrauded.

Belfort now operates as a 'motivational speaker' all over the world, with expertise in corporate training, private counselling and keynote speaking. During an event in Dubai earlier this year, he stressed: "I will make more this year than I ever made in my best year as a broker."

He reportedly charges $30,000 for each speech but hasn't honoured his $110 million in restitution as of yet. He declared that his speaking fees will serve to pay off his debt: "My goal is to make north of $100 million so I am paying back everyone this year."
