Transparency is good

This nagging feeling when you talk to your friends, and browse job postings.

Are you working at the right company, at the right level of pay? Does this company actually help you advance yourself?

You spend a lot of time working for your company not knowing how valuable that time really is or what skills are critical to your progression.

HR departments lack time and resources and the only person who might know is your boss. It could be the start of a fruitful conversation but could also backfire.

Your colleagues at best know as little as you do and worst case they wouldn?t want to share information with you openly. Job postings can be helpful but they are also made-up advertisements for greener pastures. Websites with open feedback about companies seem to attract many disgruntled (ex)employees. Not showing a real transparent story either.

It is time we make our professional environment more transparent with real information. I joined a small team of visionaries at Emolument to create a new workplace community. A transparent but safe and anonymous environment for us to benchmark ourselves and our company with the combined knowledge and experience of the professional crowd. To find out if we are paid appropriately.

If our leaders lead with vision and care. We can collectively and anonymously provide feedback to our employers to help them improve pay, culture, resources, leadership and opportunities for us.

This will make it much easier for your employer to direct their efforts to improvements that really matter to you.

Emolument provides bonus and salary statistics based on data submitted directly by professionals like you. It is free, anonymous, and already a trusted tool for thousands of professionals worldwide. Are you paid enough? Click here to find out now.
